Child Toothache (Under 18)
Soothe Little Smiles Fast!
Service Description
Ease your child’s discomfort and protect their smile with our gentle, child-focused toothache treatment. Designed to diagnose and resolve the cause of their pain, this procedure ensures effective relief in a caring, comfortable environment tailored to young patients. Comprehensive Dental Exam Requirement: A comprehensive dental exam, including a full set of 2D dental X-rays (as appropriate for children), is required before any treatment commences to ensure a safe and customized approach. If your child has not had a comprehensive exam within the last 6 months, one will be performed prior to treatment to identify the cause of the toothache (e.g., cavities, injury, or other issues) and confirm the best course of action. Toothache Treatment Procedure: If the treatment has already been planned for following a recent exam, we’ll proceed with the recommended solution. Our experienced team may perform gentle procedures such as fillings, pulp therapy, or other interventions using child-safe materials to relieve pain and restore the tooth’s health, all while keeping your child at ease. Comfort-Focused Care: We create a calm, reassuring environment with age-appropriate explanations and techniques to ensure a stress-free experience for your child. Post-Treatment Guidance: You’ll receive a detailed summary of the procedure, aftercare instructions, and tips for maintaining your child’s oral health. If additional treatments are recommended, a personalized treatment plan with estimated costs will be provided. Schedule your child’s toothache treatment today to restore their comfort and smile! If a comprehensive exam is needed, we’ll seamlessly integrate it to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
Cancellation Policy
Watagan Dental Appointment & Booking Policy At Watagan Dental, appointments are reserved exclusively for each patient. This policy ensures fairness, clinical efficiency, and availability of care for our community. 1. Appointments Bookings can be made online at watagandental.com.au, by phone (02) 4977 1222, or in person during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm). You will receive confirmation via SMS/email. A reminder SMS is sent approximately 48 hours prior. Reminders are a courtesy — patients remain responsible for attending or rescheduling in time. 2. New Patients & Examinations All new patients must complete a medical history form prior to treatment. For medico-legal and clinical governance reasons, an examination is required to diagnose conditions and develop an appropriate treatment plan for patients who do not have a current plan in place. This may include clinical assessment and radiographs where indicated. Treatment cannot proceed without appropriate examination and diagnosis. We accept all major health funds. 3. Cancellations & Booking Fees We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments missed or changed with less than 48 hours’ notice will require a non-refundable booking fee to secure future appointments. The booking fee is applied to the next visit. If another late cancellation or missed appointment occurs, the fee will be retained. Repeated occurrences may result in refusal of further bookings and recommendation to seek another provider. Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the practice’s discretion. 4. Late Arrivals Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling to avoid impacting other patients and may fall under the 48-hour policy. 5. Payments & Health Funds Payment is required on the day of treatment. We accept EFTPOS, credit/debit cards, cash, and HICAPS. Health funds are separate entities with their own policies. We do not control rebate amounts. The policy holder is responsible for understanding their cover and ensuring full payment of any gap on the day. Any rebate disputes must be directed to the health fund. Payment plans may be available by prior agreement. 6. Zero Tolerance Policy We maintain a safe and respectful environment. Abusive, aggressive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour toward staff or patients will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse treatment, cancel appointments, decline future bookings, and involve authorities if required
