Gentle Care, Quick Relief!

45 minWatagan Dental Office

Service Description

Relieve discomfort and protect your oral health with our professional wisdom tooth removal procedure, designed to safely and effectively extract problematic or impacted wisdom teeth. Delivered by our skilled general dentistry team, this streamlined process ensures a comfortable experience and smooth recovery. Comprehensive Dental Exam Requirement: A comprehensive dental exam, including a full set of 2D dental X-rays, and in some instances a 3D x-ray is required before any treatment commences to ensure a safe and tailored approach. If you have not had a comprehensive exam within the last 6 months, one will be performed prior to the extraction to assess your oral health, evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth, and confirm the need for removal. Wisdom Tooth Removal Procedure: If the extraction has already been planned for following a recent exam, we’ll proceed with the treatment. Depending on the complexity (e.g., fully erupted or impacted), our experienced team will perform the extraction under local anesthesia, with sedation options available if needed. Advanced techniques are used to remove the wisdom teeth efficiently, minimizing discomfort and preserving surrounding tissues. Comfort and Care: We prioritize your comfort with gentle techniques, a supportive environment, and personalized care to ensure a stress-free experience. Post-Treatment Guidance: You’ll receive a detailed overview of the procedure, aftercare instructions, and tips for a smooth recovery, including pain management, swelling reduction, and oral hygiene guidelines. If additional treatments are recommended, a personalized treatment plan with estimated costs will be provided. Schedule your wisdom tooth removal appointment today to safeguard your oral health and comfort! If a comprehensive exam is needed, we’ll seamlessly integrate it to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.

Cancellation Policy

Watagan Dental Appointment & Booking Policy At Watagan Dental, appointments are reserved exclusively for each patient. This policy ensures fairness, clinical efficiency, and availability of care for our community. 1. Appointments Bookings can be made online at watagandental.com.au, by phone (02) 4977 1222, or in person during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm). You will receive confirmation via SMS/email. A reminder SMS is sent approximately 48 hours prior. Reminders are a courtesy — patients remain responsible for attending or rescheduling in time. 2. New Patients & Examinations All new patients must complete a medical history form prior to treatment. For medico-legal and clinical governance reasons, an examination is required to diagnose conditions and develop an appropriate treatment plan for patients who do not have a current plan in place. This may include clinical assessment and radiographs where indicated. Treatment cannot proceed without appropriate examination and diagnosis. We accept all major health funds. 3. Cancellations & Booking Fees We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments missed or changed with less than 48 hours’ notice will require a non-refundable booking fee to secure future appointments. The booking fee is applied to the next visit. If another late cancellation or missed appointment occurs, the fee will be retained. Repeated occurrences may result in refusal of further bookings and recommendation to seek another provider. Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the practice’s discretion. 4. Late Arrivals Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling to avoid impacting other patients and may fall under the 48-hour policy. 5. Payments & Health Funds Payment is required on the day of treatment. We accept EFTPOS, credit/debit cards, cash, and HICAPS. Health funds are separate entities with their own policies. We do not control rebate amounts. The policy holder is responsible for understanding their cover and ensuring full payment of any gap on the day. Any rebate disputes must be directed to the health fund. Payment plans may be available by prior agreement. 6. Zero Tolerance Policy We maintain a safe and respectful environment. Abusive, aggressive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour toward staff or patients will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse treatment, cancel appointments, decline future bookings, and involve authorities if required
