Watagan Dental Consent Update 2025

Professional Fees and Payment Policy

Watagan Dental is a private dental practice. Medicare unfortunately does not provide cover for dental treatment which means that there may be out of pocket fees for all dental procedures. We do however bulk bill Department of Veteran Affairs and children that are eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme.

Surgery and/or procedures incur charges additional to the consultation fee. We accept all health funds where they have rebates available for our dental procedures. It is your responsibility to understand your health fund and what they will cover under your policy. We can provide a quotation at time of Treatment if your health fund allows.

Fees are provided in your treatment plan and are available at reception. If you are uncertain about any fees, it is your responsibility to check prior to the service being undertaken. You may request a quote for surgical or cosmetic procedures before they take place. Quotes provided are valid for 6 months.

Payment for all services is required on the day of your consultation or procedure. Accepted methods of payment are cash, Visa/MasterCard, or debit cards. All health funds are accepted but the amount they pay will vary depending on your policy.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments are confirmed via phone or SMS before your scheduled appointment day. If we do not receive return confirmation from you, your appointment may be cancelled and offered to another patient on our waiting list. Late cancellations and missed appointments affect our ability to provide care to other patients.

For all our appointments if you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours or fail to attend, a fee is charged barring exceptional circumstances. If you have been notified that your booked appointment will be longer than an hour, the required notice is 7 days to reschedule or cancel. Bookings cannot be made where patients have an outstanding account balance. Cancellation fees are on display on our website at:
