Spark Aligners and Invisalign® use a series of custom-made, clear plastic trays to gently shift your teeth into their desired position. Each tray is worn for about one to two weeks before moving to the next stage.

Yes! Spark Aligners and Invisalign® are removable, allowing you to eat and drink your favourite foods without restrictions. Remove your aligners before meals and brush your teeth before putting them back in to maintain hygiene.

Can I pair my aligners with other cosmetic treatments?

Yes! We can pair orthodontic treatment with other cosmetic treatments in one plan. This allows us not only to straighten the teeth, but also whiten, and even give your smile a makeover with other cosmetic treatments such as with veneers and dental implants.

Am I a Good Candidate for Spark Aligners or Invisalign®?

In general, Spark Aligners and Invisalign® are appropriate for anyone with mild to moderate misalignment (malocclusion). Aligners straighten teeth well, but they may not be able to treat some bite issues on their own.

As long as your teeth are in a good state of oral health, orthodontic correction is always a possibility. You are never too old to have your teeth straightened! Besides clear aligners, there are many other orthodontic treatments, such as tooth-coloured traditional braces, or clear braces. Talk to one of our dentists to find out more!

If you are a candidate for clear aligners, we will do an orthodontic assessment with x-rays and a 3D scan of your teeth. Then we can plan the best treatment options for you and show how your beautiful smile will look in the end!

Once your treatment begins, your Spark teeth aligners or Invisalign® will gently move your teeth into a new position. With a dental monitoring app, you can check your progress weekly and know when to change to your next aligner without having to come back to the clinic.

Spark Teeth Aligners and Invisalign® for Kids

The Australian Society of Orthodontists recommends you take your child for an orthodontic check-up around the age of seven or eight, which enables our dentists to advise whether early intervention is required.

Invisalign® and Spark teeth aligners can be worn while playing sports without injuring lips and cheeks. However, not all situations can be treated with clear aligners. Options such as traditional braces and growth plates may be required to correct problems at this age.

It’s never too late to get straight teeth! Spark Aligners and Invisalign® are great ways to straighten teeth without uncomfortable and impractical braces, which can be embarrassing for older adults. If you are a candidate for treatment, clear aligners will straighten your teeth in the same discreet way whether you’re an adult or a teenager.

Do I need retainers after Spark Aligners or Invisalign®?

After your teeth are aligned, retainers help your teeth maintain their new position. At Watagan Dental, retainers are included in your treatment cost.

If you lose or break your retainers, you can always get a new set made for a cost. If you have any questions about retainers, ask at your consultation appointment.

How much do Spark Aligners and Invisalign® cost?

Aligner treatment is a similar cost to braces ranging on average from $5500 to $9500. The exact price depends on several factors, including the number of aligners needed, and the number of visits required. If you have private health insurance, check to see if it covers orthodontic treatment. We offer payment plans through Denticare and Humm to break up the cost into manageable monthly payments.
